Tikinagan activities in Dryden during Little Bands Native Youth Hockey Tournament

Tikinagan Child and Family Services’ prevention unit is hosting three exciting events during the Little Bands Native Youth Hockey Tournament in Dryden from during the first week of February.

Tikinagan welcomes all players and their families from our First Nation communities and hopes they have a safe and fun week in Dryden and Eagle Lake First Nation!

Tuesday, February 5

Information and Recruitment Session with lunch.

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Upstairs at the Dryden Arena

Located upstairs at the Dryden Arena, drop by to find out about Tikinagan’s job opportunities (community-based and in Dryden), learn about foster parenting, and chat with our Prevention Unit to learn more about our services and activities happening in your communities. Hockey players and guests can also enjoy a free lunch from 11:30 to 1:30. Snacks and refreshments also provided.

Wednesday, February 6

Bowling for hockey teams, guests, Tikinagan staff, hockey officials and coaches.

1 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Timber Lanes Bowling Alley

The Prevention Unit has rented out five (5) lanes at Timber Lanes Bowling Alley! The teams may use this activity at their own leisure from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come play with your friends and meet some of Tikinagan’s prevention unit staff. Up to 30 people can play at a time.

Thursday, February 7

Dinner for the Hockey Players, Coaches and Guests
5 p.m. to 8 p.m. – Dryden Resource & Training Centre (same building as Confederation college- 100 Casimir Ave.)

Pizza and chicken dinner for all hockey teams and guests. Hope to see you there!
